A Monometric poem...

Pray

by Diana L Crawford

our local shopping store
not stocking any more

they sell what they have there
it seems they do not care
now high-priced things we share

we travel not so far
to store and gas for car
some to a job afar
no dine-in nor a bar

most suffer from no pay
and in our homes we stay
we long now just to play
my heart takes time today
to bend a knee and pray
