Blue Skies

by Frank Jauregui

Blue skies,
How beautiful your eyes upon me Lord,
How beautiful your face is to behold
Now that the storm has passed away,
Leaving the earth as soft as clay
And from the trees, the waking
 Song of birds,  greeting
Blue skies.

Oh! How wonderful the scent of fallen rain,
How wonderful the Son who draws my pain
Unto himself, leaving in me
A newborn child who longs to be
Held in the arms of he,
Who loving brings
Blue skies.

I see now Lord. the trials in my life -
I see my fears, my burdens, loss, and strife,
Were merely clouds  hiding your face
But now I’m humbled in this place
As once again, abounding grace reveals
 Blue skies!

Oh! How beautiful your eyes upon me Lord.
How beautiful your face is to behold
Now that the storm has passed away,
Leaving my heart as soft as clay
And from my inner spirit man, this joyful song - greeting
Blue skies!

After the storms of life subside and the clouds fade away, we see our God was always there, " For he has said, I will never leave you nor forsakes you". (Hebrew 13:5) And (Jeremiah 17:7) "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is."
