The Wrong Kind Of Peanut Butter

by Therese Caron

Child leaves for kindergarten, tears in his eyes.
Daring to start a new life, make friends, frightened.
Ending life revolving around Mommy and home.
Fear clutches his heart, dare he enter the room?
Great day! Never going back! Wrong peanut butter!

I was actually like this in kindergarten! My daughter loved school at that age but still chased me back out to the car every day after I dropped her off. I had fun writing this. I hope you enjoy it!

I just noticed that my 5th line starts with a G, when my poem lines are C,D,E,F. Totally unplanned!
