Thoughtless

by Sally Law

Thoughtless Teddy.

He had the coronavirus, he was certain of it.

After work, he took the subway to a bar where he met up with his friends.

The bar was overcrowded; so they left with a new acquaintance, piling into her car. The private party was invitation only, and needed to be crashed.

Teddy mingled and danced for hours.

Feeling exhausted, he hailed a cab home.

When he arrived, Teddy coughed on the elderly doorman, and into his shared apartment.
