Just yesterday...
How did this come to be -
a chain around my heart?
Just yesterday was love
and life about to start.
How could I have been fooled
so quickly by a kiss?
Just yesterday I smiled
and knew life would bring bliss.
Where is the lock's gold key
that keeps this chain in place?
Just yesterday, freedom,
now you confine my space.
