Things took a turn for the nurse when Ivy had no patients with him and treated him with ill will. Sorely missing pill-ow talk, Dermot tried to inject some humour, but it was in vein. He swore an oath – dis-eased his stress, but their relationship remained a prescription for disaster.

This brief story is a continuation of a recent series of 50 stories I completed, detailing a relationship in 50 words with a partner involved in a specific occupation. I compiled more than my self-imposed 50 stories, so I shall be posting the extras before I commence my new series. I'm nearing the end of them now.
