Melancholy thoughts this winter morning
Free Verse Poem Contest contest entry
I spend time each morning offering prayers for others, but very often overlook all I have to be so very thankful for, the little things I take for granted. Today, I plan to step out of my cocoon and go check in on my sister (Parkinson's) and just see if she has what she needs for the next couple days of crappy winter weather, maybe go to lunch if she is up to it, just hang out and get her out for a bit. My husband is joining me to do some little fix up for her on her shower. It only takes small gestures to make someone's day. I hope you join me in the effort to maybe just once a week or once a month to step out and make someone's day. We are all busy, but OH! what a difference we can make to someone by small gestures.Pays one point and 2 member cents.
