Where is everybody going
with such determined, feverish, speed?
Passing all that surrounds them
Creating dust, unable to see

Fearing they'll become a failure
Have they not heard of a tomorrow?
Crying at incompletions
The drama results in much sorrow

Spend the time in a day, working
Too tired to be a family man
Kids fear the cancellations
Told father's doing the best he can

So many expensive man-toys
Providing comfort for holiday
Some weekend enjoyment too
Leave kids waiting and out of the way

Slow down, spend time with family
All the stressful days cause heart attacks
Ending a life too early
