Dare your life to shine. (In 20 lines.)
Don't Be Boxed In
Could you really dare
to think outside this box or square?
Conformed to a network of ties since our youth,
we often are forced to hear lies.
Where is truth?
Go on, embrace your own life.
Challenge the orders and question the borders.
Make your pen a sharp knife.
Life should not be a chore or a bore –
you’re worth so much more.
Although we all walk, and some balk,
why not dream to fly high in the sky?
Get up off the floor – aim for a high score.
Make a decision to live your life's vision,
then be whirled upon wings of delight.
Go, write your own story so glowing with glory.
While twinkling stars shrink from sight, shine your light!
Speak what you know to be true,
then you’ll have done all you can do
before it’s ‘Adieu’ and good night.
