I knew it was time, they had waited long enough. They did not know what they were waiting for but, I did. How would they react if they knew; I wonder. Only if I win.
"Ladies and Gentlemen the tasting portion of the annual Chili cook-off begins now."
As the judges ate I waited, I smiled when three judges ask for second helpings. Should I tell them they gave a red ribbon to mixed-girl chili.
