Christmastide

by sunnilicious

Since the start of winter solstice,
snow has been continuously falling;
Lightly blanketing everything.
A red barn is nestled in the countryside...
The surrounding evergreens vary in size,
but they are mostly coniferous with cones.
One strong pine tree holds beige ornaments,
and garlands of golden twinkle lights;
Magically accenting lanterns in the windows.
As for the little furry animals,
they enjoy playing hide and seek,
and leaving their footprints on snowy beds.
A red cardinal is cornered and cackling
at blest blue-gray holiday skies
that sprinkles snowflakes like glitter.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
HAPPY NEW YEAR
