Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
What did our Saviour know while lying in the manger?

Could He See The Star

in the stable, a newborn child
sleeps quietly in the hay
heaven, wrapped in strips of cloth
under the angels' watchful eyes

Does He know the burden He'll carry?
The sins of all placed upon His shoulders.

He stirs within the manger
fluttering eyes start to open
searching for His mother's touch
is a gift of precious love

Is He aware of His glorious future?
This delicate Child will shape history.

two hands gently embrace Him
while a cry pierces the darkness
only to be silenced
with the touch of His mother's breast

while nursing
He looks into the night sky
at the star announcing His birth

and smiles

It's hard to say what Yeshua (Jesus) knew at His birth. He was fully God in a tiny body. Did Jesus possess the knowledge of His difficult life ahead? Was the glory of His presence felt inside? Did Yeshua know the star was for Him? I want to ask Him these questions one day.
