"The Twin Blue Spruce Topper"

"Once Upon a Time...
"And a Long, Long, Long, Time ago...
"Within the Spectors of My Mind." "I had a dream."
"Yes, long before Martin Luther King."
...
"The year was 1963 and I wanted a son."
"But not an ordinary one!"
"Like the fictional hero...
"Jason from the movie...
'Jason and the Argonauts.'
....
"A couple decades passed and I was now married with children." "The first two were there already.'
(A Pair of Gifts)
"But the last Three?"
"Were let's just say were, make *Pretend."
...
"And, they all grew like Weeds!"
"Yes, and each had their own particular needs."
They came along in this order...
"Go, girl, girl, boy, and finally girl!"
...
"I attended and successfully gathered them all together...
'Along the Trail of Life.'
"All the time with little regards and assistance from my wife."
"And, they grew strong!"
"Yes, Strong like a Blue Spruce!"
...
"So, the time came and I decided to go out one day to Gomez Brothers Garden Center."
"And, purchased one just the right one?"
...
"I planted this small Spruce right on the very front of my lawn."
"In order to watch it grow successfully like my children...
"Healthy and strong!"
"But Fate and Destiny came along?"

"The Summer of 1990 was quite HOT!"
"So, the sprinkler I used for my front lawn became a playground for the children to cool them all off."

"They would jump...
"And, jump and jump some more but one day."
"They decided to jump the small Spruce!"
"And, there was no excuse as one of my Son Jason's friends...

"Well, wouldn't you just know it?"
"He snapped off the top!"

"The Bruce Spruce?"
"Should I just write it off?"
"I saw this and didn't know what to do."
"I figured the poor little Blue Spruce was through?"

"But again?"
"Fate and Destiny came gathering and gave me this plan!"
"What if I took one of the lower and larger branches and tie it up in the air?"
"A New Topper to share?"
...
"It seemed to work but was still a little awkward looking."
"But that little tree would get the chance it needed!"
"So, I relocated it to the West corner of my home partially protected in the shade."
"Yes, right across from Jason's bedroom window."
"This way perhaps God would gine it a second chance?"
...
"Over 35 years came and went and the tree hosted many families."
"Yes, families of birds!"
"From the Blue Jay, to the Room, to the Dove!"
...
"So, I would place a ladder nearby and peer."
"And yes, that little tree with its top hacked right-off?"
"Was now a Full and Majestic Blue Spruce!"

"I would prune the Brown Pine and watch the new growth tips come in...
"And, it was doing so grand."
"As if perhaps it was a sin?"
...
"I don't live at that house anymore and Brandon is now a full grown man running his own gardening business but as for my son Jason?"

"Well yeah, He passed away a long, time ago."
"So, I dedicated that Blue Spruce to Him and you know what?"
"It wasn't a Sin."

"Today?"
"Well, let's say that top grew back but and now has Two toppers!" "So, that tree?"
"For rhe many people that drive by."
"Can still enjoy it...
