Autumnal sunshine
filters though wise old Oak leaves
golden bars of light

fragrant summer rose
decays into tones of earth
an endless cycle

I, much like the rose
will also return to her;
my spirit will be

when that time arrives
I will gain understanding
flying free again

perhaps I'll return
as a fragrant one myself
casting to the wind

I
will be
like a rose
fragrant; lovely
then

when

zen
