Blessings, Day and Night

by LisaMay

Simmering summer sun,

sinking into the west;

it shimmered then glimmered

’til our fun day was done.

We’ll go home, feeling blessed.

Mellow moods of the moon,

rising in the night sky –

now beaming and gleaming.

I’ll always feel in tune

with you, my love, close by.

I made up this poetic form - I don't know if it already exists; others might know?
(I doubt it - it's something of a strange one!)

In my poem the stanza lines are all of 6 syllables, with the rhyme scheme as follows:

A (with alliteration)
B
C C (internal rhyme)
A
B
