Contemplative Prayer

by JLR

Consider taking time to pray
Only consider doing it another way.
Nothing happens, no real test,
Teaching stops giving the brain a rest,
Engage your heart start breathing  in slow
Mantra’s are for mediation, but not this method
Prayer done with the monkey mind being rested
Lay open your heart go deep in your soul
Awaken your senses, begin to feel a deep glow.
Trust in the silence, fear not, go slow
Invite in the mystery of the heavenly presence
Value self-reflective space, allow divine radiance
Evolve, blossom, flower, in His resplendence.

Acrostic Poetry writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
Write an acrostic poem. Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title. See an example in the announcement.

Acoustic: contemplative

This is my perspective on The art of centering prayer which is mindless activity for 20 minutes or longer, if possible twice per day. Grow in deep contemplation the opening of your heart and listen intently for a small still voice, always, always dwelling within our wholeness.
