Lets Go Fly a Kite

by Sugarray77

My kite is flying in the breeze;
a twisting tease,
upon the winds,
it dips and bends.

Atop brisk currents in the air,
where eagles dare,
strong tugging pulls,
on threaded spools.

Sharp snap and crackle of the wind,
cause knots to rend.
On stiff, brisk gale...
”There goes the tail!”
