When I have to explain where you are and why you're not coming back

When people offer help and I reach out but they're not there

When deadlines and bills pile up and I feel overwhelmed by it all

When I feel lonely abandoned and afraid

When all I can do is pull the covers over my my head and cry

When I feel like giving up and no longer have the strength to try

Somehow I go to sleep and wake up again with the strength to face one more day

Some days are better than others . . .
