a dance poem

moon dance

by judester

she dances in the starlight
'neath the summer moon.
Traipsing on the velvet moss
she sings a lively tune.

Fireflies and crickets
delighted, watch her prance.
Little night time critters sway ~
caught up in the trance.

With a nod and cheeky grin,
she curtsies her good byes.
Her friends still humming, scatter
in the glow of fireflies.
