Bill Chambers was and had a great passion.
Started as a mere child...
Slowly built as he played his first game...
Of...
Miniature Golf!
...
His Dad Ed and Mom Rita watched and realized that their only Son had slowly...
Found his passion?
...
Through High School to college.
Bill was amazingly adapted to this game!
And after graduating College. at BYU...
Successful but only World ranked at 359.
He needed more Amateur victories?
And, after a few minor tournaments, Bill wanted to more and wanted to move forward...
In order to make his family proud?
...
So he enter a little-known tournament called...
"The Colorado Rocket Tournament in Williamsburg."
Colorado with a dream of a spot at the Masters?
...
A successful but only 'World-Ranked.'
At 359 he was able to land a spot in a little known Colorado tournament.
(Due to his college career at BYU)
...
Never to be considered disrespectful or discouraged, he lost but placed well in the top ten.
Not bad for an Amateur in an Amateur Tournament.
...
His mother, father' and girlfriend Tamia flew all the way from Salt Lake City to watch his small victory!
And, how proud they were!
(A Future Superstar?)

But how do you say the word...
'Tragedy?'
And Yes!
It would strike and strike hard?
...
On the return trip...
As their plane crashed...
On the way back to Salt Lake...
In the Colorado mountains...
(After a freak snowstorm)
There would be one less...
Latterday Saint Priest...
With The Church of Jesus Christ.

Now obviously devastated at the losses...
Bill blame himself and more?
Golfing!
...
And Yes, he cursed the golfing and said...
"If I never did that and got hooked?"
"They wouldn't be dead."
...
So, he medicated from...
"Hole in Ones."
To Bottles of booze.
Booze and yes, he fell deep!
Ever so deep that His World didn't exist for several years?
...
But fortunately for Bill?
His sister called a dear friend for help.
She would not lose a third and last family member.
...
Bill had a friend Robert whom also had gone through a similar experience.
A BYU graduate also...
Robert begged and pleaded him to give up the booze and do exactly what he was meant to do!
"Follow your dreamed my friend and get yourself a place!"
"Yes a better place!"
"Place so well in the Rocket Tournament?"
"To get yourself that green jacket at the Masters!"
...
"He told Bill and three, long, years had passed?"
"Your family needs this Bill and they are watching!"
...
A Rocket Tournament again?
He had cursed that thought.
"Bill?"
"It is coming and you only have a few weeks to get your act together!"
...
So with that and all the other thoughts...
Thought racing through his mind?
He went out to the local course.
...
And, he hit...
And, hit that dimpled ball
And, played a few rounds that continued...
Until he finally finished the first, full, nine, rounds!
And, then?
A Full Eighteen!
And, his friend said...
"You're now ready Boil."
"And, on your way!"
"Do this for your family!"
"Do this for your God!"
...
So Bill Chartered a flight...
Yes the next flight to Colorado...
Where he had placed previously and was now?
"Top World ranked 390.
But inactive?
Luckily he got a spot again to play.
...
And, you see?
Things would turn out much different this time?
For not only with his sister and new girlfriend Rita watching?
He played his Heart out so hard!
And Yes!
He not only played hard but he won the whole damn thing!
With a dream of the Masters and that elusive...
"Green Jacket!"
