Teeth at Rest

by Ava Wilson

His teeth come out in the evenings
And sleep in a small glass cup
They stay there until the morning
When their owner decides to wake up

Among pieces of food particles
Eating's natural aftermath
False teeth can rest from their chatter
And relax in their watery bath
