With a sense of imminent doom,
Hearing the doctor tell the team in the room,
"Wow," look at this,
I knew, just knew the news would not bring me bliss.

As my mind raced hither and yon,
I couldn't help but to look up at the great beyond.

That is precisely when I saw God in pigtails.
Simply seeing Her with tightly bound locks,
I felt comforted as She cast down a compassionate look.

As the hours merged into days waiting for more earthly news,
Wanting discovery, recovery, more revealing of clues,
The glue that made me grasp to the here and now
Is knowing that, just maybe, GOD did have pigtails!

Then a smile broke across my face filling my soul
Knowing full well that the Divine ...
She/He is a comforting Being!
