God's view of the world
God's Worry
by Wils
God was worried
Had things on his mind
And he was not normally
the worrying kind
The world that he'd made
Was changing too quick
And that was one thing that made God feel quite sick
God gave a pull
on his overlong beard
Looked out the window
at this heavenly scene
Off in the distance
was the sound of music
Lennon and Presley
Soulful and clean
Saint Peter stood down
at Heaven's front gate
Waiting for 2.00pm
train to arrive
Filled to the brim
With Earth souls to dismount
Their bodies, alas,
no longer alive
God thought that the trouble with Earth of today;
Electronics made people
too lazy to move
By just pressing a button
you could get anything
That made human life
too easy to lose
Souls from below
were doubling in number
Trains were arriving
at an alarming rate
When they arrived
they were sick and unhealthy
Causing early entry
Through the Heavenly Gate
God's problem was
he had nowhere to put them
Heavenly people
needed heavenly beds
Otherwise God would have to make deals with the Devil
A consequence for laziness
Tearing eternity to shreds
God hoped and prayed to himself for Earth's future
Feared that it would
only get worse
It was up to Earth's people
To change its path of action
Or else the whole planet
Would be thrown
gravely off course
