My heart beats fast
When the waters rush past
They speak to my soul
As onward they roll

I sit and listen to water rushing over rocks,
And pre-storm waves sloshing around the docks
I am still, yet feel I am moving
With the rhythm and motion of water
Like a train rumbling

Rushing waters move me, speak to me, and inspire
They put out my raging fire
Springs and brooks babbling along
To me, they are singing nature's song
