How the wind blows,
a fierce howl,
almost deafening.

Wind takes command,
white sails puff up
under a starless night.

Sailors on board
yelling above howling winds,
but to no avail.

Icy sea water drenches,
still, they keep their sea legs,
fighting to stay afloat.

Through rough seas
the sailing ship sails
towards the lighthouse;
