The question Jesus asked Peter 3 times.

Do You Love Me?

by fm wright

Do you love me?
Jesus, to Peter said.
Yes Lord, You know certainly
that I love You,
and what I say is true.
See to it that My lambs are fed.

Do you love me?
Jesus asked once again.
Yes Lord, You know certainly
that I love You,
and what I say is true.
Take care of My sheep - them defend.

Do you love me?
Jesus asked yet again.
Peter answered woefully,
Yes Lord, You know
I truly love You so.
Feed my sheep - on you I'll depend.

Do you love me?
He's asking us today.
May we answer truthfully,
Yes Lord, You know
this is certainly so.
Then let not my flock go astray.
