E is for eternal everlasting
Christ died upon the Cross
that we may have eternal life
with our father in paradise

One of his disciples was going to betray
and at the end of that faithful day
before the rooster said cockle doodle do
He surely was going to be disloyal to you

Before the cock cackled on three
you would no longer be free
he gently kissed you on your cheek
indicating you were whom they seek

They took Jesus into custody
and they nailed him to the tree
they pierced his hands and his feet
willingly he took his retreat

He courageously had his cross to bear
On each side of him there was a pair
one of them said Lord remember me
In paradise my friend you definitely will see

On this day our savior Christ was crucified
with pain sweat and blood dripping his side
the savior lowered his head down and died
Judas ran away disgusted in shame to hide

Mary his mother lamented sadly grieved
but she was somewhat somehow relieved
her baby boy had been battered and suffered
her emotions were outrageously baffled ruffled

The sun that day actually refused to shine
nothing it seemed would hardly ever be fine
Mary's vision indistinctly in a loom
as her son's body lay in the tomb


Mary visited the grave every day
the third day the stone rolled away
she was anxious and beside herself
thought there must have been a theft

Then she remembered what Jesus had said
on the third day he would rise from the dead
All our sins sweet Jesus had paid the price
and one day we shall meet him in paradise
