Writing Prompt Write a 5-7-5 poem on any subject. The only rule is to follow the 5-7-5 syllable count (first line has five syllables, second line has seven, third line has five again). |
An old story tells of a small boy who was afraid to lose his tooth. He would not let anyone touch it until Grandpa told him he wanted to tie a string around it for safekeeping. The boy allowed him to tie the string and then Grandpa tied the other end to a door handle and slammed the door. Out came the tooth to his surprise. So the story goes.....
