Notre Dame Cathedral

Our Lady's House Burns

Notre Dame
Our Lady
Compassion
A tear in Her eye
For hundreds of years
She's heard innocent cries

A crown of thorns
Sits on the precipice
Sacred, in this grand edifice
To bear witness
Of the sacrifice of Her Son

The structure burns
Blind eyes return
Seeking to rationalize
A reason for this disaster

A lack of humanity
Is not unveiled
As ignorance rules the day

Thanks Jesuel for the drawing. The innocent are the sexually abused. Only the material reason is looked at not, the spiritual reason for the burning of the Notre Dame Cathedral.
