For a long time I've been chasing a rhyme,
Rhyme and verse so elusive
Elusive thoughts are hard to catch
Catch a stanza, - mental block
Block out memories
Memories flow in and out of my mind
Mind a mystery of shapes and patterns
Patterns and types of poetry combine
Combine my thoughts and feelings
Feelings, rhythm, and melody sing
Sing in the depths of my heart, concealing
Concealing my emotions
Emotions of poetry
