A chapter in the book Of Nature Sing

God Meant Them to Be

by fm wright

From the tiny amoeba made of a single cell,
up to the incredibly massive great blue whale,
and all the myriad of fish that swim under the deep sea:
God meant them to be.

Entering the ark by sevens, and also by pair;
whether they travel upon land, or through the air,
from mammals to all manner of insects, including the flea:
God meant them to be.

Everything that moves, crawls, swims, or is able to fly,
in, or across the earth, the water or the sky,
along with the smallest seed ranging to the mightiest tree:
God meant them to be.
