Failed To Yield

In my car, getting ready to jump on the highway, I was checking
out the FanStory prompts on my phone. I came across a promising
contest and had to read the fine print as to the rules to see if it was
something I wanted to enter. I guess I was doing close to eighty coming
up the onramp to I-75. That's when it happened, unaware...I failed to yield.
The tanker swerved to miss me, ramming into the school bus in the center
lane. The bus hit the car beside it and flipped into the air, flinging tiny bodies
everywhere before brutally crashing into oncoming traffic.
In unison, the tanker jackknifed in the middle of the road behind me. It flipped
and rolled three times before it exploded into a massive fireball, consuming the
following eight cars.
In my rearview mirror, I watched as the highway filled with vehicle after
vehicle horridly plowing into the wreckage. I knew what I had to do. I
jumped off at the next exit, ran into Best Buy and bought a tablet.
Now the contests are so much easier to see with the bigger screen, while
driving. Way better than my phone.
