Amaya

by Sanku

Clouds, tear laden over me hung
Like a morbid wrap grief has flung.
Death casting a bluish shadow
Of growing unease over life's flow.

Lo! then emerged a moonlight beam
Amaya, guileless, with her scream
Defying her doctors date she came,
And due attention she did claim.

Birth and death, the cycle in time
'Snap off it into life sublime'
Her tiny hands and little pink toes
Slapped off all my angst and woes.

The miracle of a life anew,
Blessed we are to welcome you.

Two people very close to us passed away after a gut-wrenching struggle with death
We were wallowing in that despondency when twenty days ahead of the due date my grand daughter Amaya was born. It was as if heavens decided enough is enough 'snap out of it'!
Amaya in Spanish means darling daughter and in Sanskrit it means guileless.
Thank you Moon Willow for the use of this picture.I am not good when it comes to rhyming, but for Amaya's sake i made an effort.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
