God, with humbleness I pray, You will hear my heartfelt plea
Only with Your mighty hand can the burdens be taken from me
Days filled with worry and dread, nights with the absence of peace

Give me grace and mercy Lord, command these storms to cease
Relying on Your promises, with faith I shall believe
Amid each trial or battle, victory I will achieve
No matter what my future holds, help me to take it in stride
Throughout all the ups and downs, I'll trust You to be my guide

May each and every step I take, lead me to the path You choose
Even if I walk in darkness, by Your side I'll never lose

You've never left me in the past and You won't forsake me now
Often at my lowest times, You've brought me through it somehow
Under the gun or on the brink, You're always right on time
Remembering Your provision when I was down to my last dime

Stocking my cupboards, supplying my needs at times least expected
Even when the fault was mine, I never once felt rejected
Reasons are many for me to believe that I can trust You still
Even in my darkest times, You never left me, never will
Now, looking back, I wonder why I ever had a doubt
I just needed a reminder of what faith is all about
