Superhero
by Heather Knight
Ever since I was a child, I dreamt of being a superhero. But then I grew up and learnt my limitations.
I lead a happy life: fell in love, got married...
However, I knew there was something missing, even though my youngest always said, 'Don't be silly, Mummy. You are the best.'
One day, I was out shopping when I saw a car approaching the zebra-crossing, and a two-year-old running into the road. I moved like lightning. My wheelchair took the impact, but both me and the little boy were okay. I became a superhero that day.
