Sometimes all it takes is a little motivation and effort.

Ida and Woody

by Michele Harber

Ida Bin was a sad girl,
Always thinking what she'd been denied.
"Ida Bin rich, Ida Bin famous."
Perhaps she might have, if only she'd tried.

Ida's brother was Woody.
He, too, bemoaned what he never got.
"Woody Bin a hero, Woody Bin a star."
Without effort, no, Woody would not.

Then Woody met a girl named Hope,
Who taught him to wish and aspire,
And Ida met Hy, an encouraging guy,
Who convinced her she could go higher.

Hy Did said "I do" to Ida, who
Was now filled with sunshine and laughter.
"Ida Bin sad without you," Ida said,
And they lived happily ever after.
