Me, wait?

The Queen

by mermaids

The leader of the herd, am I
so long to wait for food, sigh

my beauty radiates as my subjects bow
guinea pig is my species, not a mooing cow

the exquisite greens should be on a plate
serving me is your happy and joyful fate

squealing demeans my precious face
give me my carrots, cabbage with grace

royalty does not linger for sustenance
beauty does not need the skill of patience

I want my lunch, I am hungry right now
get going, feed me, your gorgeous sow

My guinea pigs go crazy around meal times, as if they cannot wait for their food. I wrote this poem from Yeti's viewpoint. This is a pic of her.
