Calgary Canada in Winter

Braving The Chill

by Yvon

In Calgary we have The Stampede
During winter time we only freeze
It can get so cold
I have been told
That you can hear a sneeze from the trees

With buildings standing very tall
The people below seem oh so small
From head to toe
Covered in snow
They resemble a white rolling ball

You'll see the homeless braving the chill
Pushing shopping carts that are over filled
They do this every day
Their treasures on display
Looks like somethings would fall but nothing ever will

These masses here they are oh so tough
Minus thirty to them is not all that rough
The blowing breeze
Making trees sneeze
Let's you know when enough is enough

So if you want to come to this Calgary land
There is one thing that you must understand
The citizens are tough
The homeless are rough
But around the corner The Stampede's at hand

Can get cold in the winter. In the summer we have The Calgary Stampede one of the biggest rodeos in the world. Lots of tough cowboys in town.
