As it was when He first created all;
from the great down to the very small:
It was back then, even as it is now,
this He has thus spoken with His own vow.
World events have not changed His goal,
for God Himself, is still in control.

His love for us has not once ever failed;
though His plans have long since been derailed.
He lovingly proclaims from up on high,
My time for returning draws ever nigh.
In spite of sin taking its toll,
for God Himself, is still in control.

One day things will be as they should have been;
before man fell downward into sin.
The earth will at last, be restored
and we shall dwell upon it with our Lord;
man returned to his proper role,
for God Himself, is still in control.
