Love’s Divine ~ acrostic poem

Love is a sacred vow

Only between us two.

Vespers whispered a love song...

Every letter, every word, every verse.


‘So sweet the melody was penned 

from love birthed long ago

on the breast of tender song.


Do not keep your love away,

It is here with me—stayed forever.

Vexed my soul when you depart,

Inwardly, half of a whole.

Near you come again, and, I sing...

Every letter, every word, every verse.

Dedicated to my loving husband of 43 years, Jack. We were married by candlelight in our home church with many prayers and singing. The Lords Prayer was sung while we took communion; our first act as husband and wife.
