Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
a new beginning

Mermaid New Year

by mermaids

the raging waves, the cold air she feels
the loss of loved ones, it is all too real

the sea with her blue and green
reminds her that more is to be seen

angels of the water, dive and play
warm air will arrive, she greets this day

the soul of the blue whale, the humpback song
here at the beach, upon a jetty she belongs

forward she goes, diving with her dolphin friend
it is a new year, time to reflect and begin again
