Bonus Earned

When I went to a Shell station today for gas and air, I paid for BOTH. That experience brought back memories of my first job.
Back in the 60s, I was an attendant in a full-service filling station. I worked exclusively outside, filling tanks, washing windshields, and inflating tires. Such service was gratis and I was expected to decline tips.
Usually I did. But I couldn't refuse what a pretty girl gave me after I'd fully serviced her yellow T-Bird convertible.
While paying me, she said,"You earned a tip."
Then she grabbed my face and kissed me.
