A 'Lil' New Year's Wish for All

I Wish for You...

A touch of trust to paint in lieu
 of trials and traumas long past…
May time’s transformational strokes
 touch-up with a tint that evokes
 a treasure of triumphs to last
 
A hint of hope to make it through
 hard times when hazards seem hidden…
May happiness and high spirits be
 the hallmarks of life’s honesty
 highlighted with hymns unbidden
 
A pinch of peace ‘midst morning dew
 found on pillows of passion fine…
May the promises of pleasure
 prove too plentiful to measure
 with prosperity poured like wine
 
A sense of soul I pray for you,
 of salvation sought without guile…
May service in silence to all
 show you strength found in slight and small
 and let sureness shine through your smile
 
A year of youth I send to you,
 that is, young eyes and youthful heart.
May your thoughts on yesteryear yield
 a yen with new yearnings revealed…
Yardarm raised!

                           Yoke in hand! 

                                                     Fresh start!
