tanka(a blossoming vale)

Winter cedes it’s grip
as warmth creeps across the land
Earth slowly awakes
carpeting vales with blossoms
Springtime ‘neath the Southern Cross

Write a poem about how spring affects you. It can be humorous, inspirational, romantic - whatever you feel as springtime returns.


The crocus is one of the first flowers to bloom in the springtime. As it is turning warmer in the Southern Hemisphere, flowers throughout the grasses are blooming vibrant colors.... rejuvenating the people that live Down Under.
