Climate Change for Peace

by dragonpoet

Sometimes I think about our world
What it may become in the near future
if we do not become less worried about power
and greedy fists don't come uncurled

Uncurled and never be re-formed.
Promises are kept among foes and friends
so we become or stay allies in this weak world
Will alliances be deformed.

Deformed or maimed from what they were
because we can't communicate civilly
with anyone we meet at home or overseas
without both parties needing fur

Fur whether in cold or warm climes
Words need to be warmer, more accepting,
Weapons forgotten or destroyed to start a path.
Can we find peace, I wonder sometimes
