Sand Castles On The Shore

Are we building our lives
like sand castles on the shore
or are we building things
that will last forevermore?

Are we investing in the temporal
fragile things that fade away
or are we investing in lives
so they may not go astray?

Sand castles are washed away
by the incoming tides
but when in lives we invest
who'll forever with the Lord abide.
