A land of many colours

Australia in drought

by Aussie

Mother Nature cruel yet kind
Outside all given time
Thunderheads form hope
Heartache, empty skies elope
Earth swelters under blue skies
Rain moves away no replies

Nary a drop to feed the land
All is dying, turning to sand
Terror fills the hearts of man
Under azure skies we band
Raise your voices to the Lord
Echo loudly for flooding fiord
