Color Me Gone

by Brett Matthew West

The gun lay smoking on the ground next to the pool of his blood. That's where I threw it after I shot him. Life's not supposed to be over just because he wouldn't quit when I told him to stop touching me down there. I'm only ten years old! Why wouldn't he leave me alone? What am I going to do? I know. I'll pick the gun up and you can color me gone. BANG!
