Eyes are always on you

Someone's Watching

someone's watching
every step you take
must remain mindful of
any brazen moves you make

for when you least expect it
the day of reckoning will call
and even those most righteous
will take a nasty fall

don't think your dirty laundry
will long remain asleep
revenge is always lurking
it has promises to keep

don't be the person waiting
to be outed by the press
lead a life of honesty
then you can always rest

With all the seemingly upstanding people getting exposed for prior sins, this piece has been rolling around in my head for awhile. The first verse was done about 6 weeks ago - came across it and decided to try to finish it. A special thanks to LittleBogie07 for the use of "The Eye, a Window to the Soul". Thanks for reading.
