A child loves innocently and unconditionally.

The love of a Child

by Brigitte Elko

Little princess you make me giggle

playing games without a fee.

Your spirit is innocent and free.

Blonde curls dance as you wiggle

in your latest dance move jiggle.

Unconditional love is what you give.

In my heart, soul, and mind you live. .

Your hugs and smiles, you're only five,

makes life radiate and keeps me alive.

Your latest quest was to put me to a test.

Asking for a treat, you gave it your best.

Whisper from your mouth to my ear,

this is what I hear:

" You'll say yes, you spoil me rotten."

Those sweet words linger, never to be forgotten.
